City fines smoke shop $1,000, may act on license

The Lake City City Council approved a $1,000 fine citation for Lakeshore Smoke Shop, 1301 N. Lakeshore Dr., Ste. 600, and began a process that could result in a suspension or non-renewal of the shop’s tobacco license.
Police Chief Cory Kubista recommended the action after receiving a letter from the Minnesota Department of Revenue notifying the city of the seizure of contraband from the shop.
