Well the thing I'm noticing is without hoop earrings, the style of the character changes to just a white anime girl with dark skin. With the hoop earing, it becomes a more of an african face. This is definitely a result of the training data. Anything stereotypically "black" like dreads, afros, hoop earrings will make characters more black. If you just try to tell the game to do a black girl, it'll give you a white girl with dark skin.

For example, this picture sure she's black, but she's not "Black". I can only get the models to make her look like an actual black girl if I give her incredibly stereotypical features. I haven't found a good way to give girls thick hair outside "big hair" but that rarely does the sort of thing I want from it.
