First instance: setting up the toddlers’ toy piano and microphone up in the living room instead of the kids’ toy room. There are six children, five under ten, three under four. It was auditory hell.

Second instance: giver of the shiny new toy piano and microphone from hell states “well I didn’t think she’d want to use it right now.” How… ಠ⁠_⁠ಠ…how do you have four children and eight grandchildren and not know that children want to play with their new toys immediately.

The office move team keeps insisting a standard-issue 34" curved monitor will serve dual-monitor functionality, and we can’t take our existing monitors with us.

34" is less than 2/3 of our current setup. People have vertical monitors for coding. My monitors are not even two years old. Maybe your fancy curved monitor is fine for teams who spend all day on laptops scheduling meetings but for us doing CAD work and data analysis it’s not gonna work, honey.
