  • Biography
Used to lurk for the longest time; now here I am.

I got my start in the tech world when I was rather young. My sister had a broken laptop screen and the local shops wanted $800 to repair it (the computer was only worth $500) she begged me to do it, so one YouTube video and Amazon shopping trip later, I had it done for $30 (the price of the screen) and dinner. That was my foot in the door, which ended up just opening itself.

I've done lots of weird and cool techy things. Such as running communications cable throughout commercial buildings, installing security cameras, large scale projection, lighting, and live sound mixing.

I hope to one day be a commercial pilot. I declined a legit government IT job to pursue this, so I better fucking make it.

  1. Bezels to avoid hole punch or notch. Physical home button with fingerprint sensor. 3.5mm headphone jack. Under $500 max price. OS, security, and app support for 5 years minimum. Also no ai bullshit.
  2. https://www.newegg.com/western-digital-4tb/p/1Z4-0002-01PB8 Didn't realize how expensive the 4TB version was, I only have 2TB. Showing just about $400 where I'm at. Still cheaper than a Kioxia drive tho lol.
  3. Threw me for a loop there! lol
  4. For storage I like to use WD Red drives. I have a 2.5" WD Red SSD in my main computer for my data hoarder files. (I really need to make a copy of that drive...). But the Red drives designed for NAS use, so I figured they should be really good at just sitting there in my computer holding all the .gifs and .jpgs of Linus.
  5. Back to back same day video uploads? That's not normal for LTT. Did someone make an oopsie-daisy?
  6. I'll give them credit for testing their update before pushing it out, realizing the problem, and offering (what I consider) to be a pretty solid solution.
  7. Linus had a hair or strand of some kind on his right shoulder that bothered me the whole time xD
  8. Half the list is Ai "assistant" bullshit. Glad I don't use any of them! (or Chrome for that matter)
  9. I use sponsorblock (sorry Linus ) so it skips over it every time. Maybe it's because I watch most of what they upload, but it gets old after a couple vids. Most intros piss me off as I have the attention span of a dead fish, I'd rather be already into the content than waiting for an introduction jingle. That said the song itself is pretty good and I like the genre overall.
  10. LTT just recently revisited this very topic.
  11. Ah yes. The "hasn't touched grass" leader board... I WILL RULE THIS PLACE ONE DAY!! JUST YOU WAIT! There will be Raid Shadow Legends ads all over the site, and I shall take 537% of the profits! >:D
  12. Man how I wish HexOS supported mix/matched drives. UNRaid is so damn confusing, I need someone to hold my hand as I set it up. I'd be more than happy to pay full price for HexOS if it really did make it all so much easier.
  13. Well as an AV Geek I can tell you yes, it will fit. Allegiant use a fleet of A319s, A320s, and even a few 737 MAX 8-200s. They all more or less have a standard size overhead bin and under seat area. But either LTT bag will fit in the overhead, and the underseat of any of those aircraft.
  14. I saw a post on Reddit a few hours ago where the OP had the same issue, it would appear they ran out of discounted ones. Linus said in the latest WAN Show there were only so many for the discount. (It was close to 20k but I don't remember the amount, may have been 17k units).
