Climate
Korea, which falls under the “mid-latitude, temperate climate,” boasts four distinct seasons. Spring and fall display clear and mild weather and summer is hot and humid while winter shows cold and arid climate characteristics. Although the temperatures do not differ much among regions, the southern areas including Busan tend to be warmer as the average temperature is around 4 degrees Celsius higher.
Currency
Korea’s currency is the won (₩). Paper money comes in denominations of 1,000 won (Cheon Won); 5,000 won (Oh Cheon Won); 10,000 won (Man Won); and 50,000 won (Oh Man Won). Coins come in 10 (Sip), 50 (Oh Sib), 100 (Baek) and 500 (Oh Back) won.
Credit Cards
Major international credit cards are commonly accepted at most hotels, department stores, restaurants, and shops. Restaurants and shops generally display signs indicating what cards they accept.
Electricity Supply
The standard voltage in Korea is 220 volts. The outlet has two round holes and is the same type used in France, Germany, Austria, Greece, Turkey, and many other countries. The multi-voltage travel adapter are available at hotel's front desk. You can find it at a duty-free shop, convenience shop at Incheon Int'l Airport, or Yongsan Electronics Shopping Town.
