What is LineageOS?

LineageOS is a free, community-built, aftermarket Android firmware distribution, designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many Android community members. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. LineageOS still includes various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

Installation Instructions

Prerequisites:

Make a backup of your important data
Have the latest U6 binary firmware installed on your device
Ensure your device's Bootloader is Unlocked (A guide is available HERE)
Stock recovery(Use it to factory reset the device if you get the Android Rescue Party trigger error when you try to boot the ROM)
Custom recovery (Tested with the TWRP shared HERE)

Clean Flashing Guide

Boot into custom recovery
Copy ROM to internal storage or sdcard
Flash the ROM
Format DATA (The one with the type YES option)
Reboot

You can skip steps 2 & 3 if you prefer the sideload flashing method

Dirty/Update Flashing Guide

Boot into custom recovery
Flash the new LineageOS build
Wipe Cache & Dalvik Cache
Reboot

I cannot answer for gsi. As for the rom, I have not implemented it yet

I have the SM-A325M/DS model with the SM-A325M_MXO_A325MUBU5DWF firmware. Can this ROM be compatible or do you have to compile a specific ROM for this model?

I have this doubt, why this custom ROM lineageos was compiled with the kernel A325FXXU5DWE3 firmware. and that of my device, firmware, A325MUBU5DWF1 kernel.

This rom is only tested on A325F

I will see whether I can add support for A325M as well. Hopefully

btw, do you know why SMS aint working on GSI? Maybe you have a fix?

in my a325f you can't reboot system now. if you do that will be looping on samsung logo to recovery again. you should type multidisabler in terminal recovery before reboot. thank you for hardwork. waiting for fix receiving sms because this is crucial bug

VOLTE on Samsung custom ROMs is a long stretch. Doesn't work even on GSIs

I have not faced that. And I don't advise the use of multidisabler on the from. But you are welcome to at your own risk

i tried this rom and i found bug can't using data and my app banking force close.

It is best to catch logs when you get a bug. Confirm that you have an apn selected in network settings
