That's what people have been doing. Again, this isn't a Charles versus CF debate for the 1000th time. It's a conversation about whether a community foundation should be subject to community oversight. IOG and Emurgo are not the same as the CF. If they were, then we would have just taken their initial distribution and mandate during the founding of Cardano. The intention always was for a community MBO. Then suddenly, Rick wants to speculate about Ada holdings, IOG's Glassdoor reviews (after we laid off a few hundred people during a bear market), and veiled comments about leadership changes. It's profoundly disappointing, extremely distasteful, and a horrible way to end a many-year friendship that I'd assume would give us some benefit from the doubt especially given that he has witnessed and knows some of the inside baseball over the past 3 years including our extraordinary efforts to try to keep the peace. This fight isn't new. It started in 2021. We couldn't do anything while there were governance keys and no on-chain government. Now we can by approving the budget and the constitution, thereby funding independent community oriented MBOs. The Foundation has repeatedly said they want to support a "keep the lights on budget". What this means is IOG will work for mostly free, Intersect gets nothing since it competes with their mandate, and many of the ecosystem projects get no funding. Catalyst will also be starved, which is why they voted they way that they did to try to damage its reputation prior to the budget conversation about its allocation. They have also said they don't like grants. So we have a CF worth 600 million dollars of Ada having no community input into their outflows, catalyst shut down or starved, the largest dev and science shop told to work for mostly free, and a 10-figure treasury just accumulating value during a bull market that could see 3-5 dollar ada. It makes no strategic sense, and it's suicide for the ecosystem. If I'm right, then can you fire the board members of the CF who are pushing for this? No, you have absolutely no say. Instead, let's believe the founder of the ecosystem, who's been here for 10 years every day, 75 countries, and does everything to try to make Cardano the number 1 ecosystem in the world, is somehow dishonest, duplicitous, and incompetent. I'm sorry your ego got bruised, Rick; you aren't helping the community with your actions. You're creating drama and conflating actual facts and events to benefit a narrative that will end all the momentum Cardano is building.
