An apartment development years in the making has opened for leasing.

Allora Alamo Heights — a project adding 351 units to the North Side — has finished major construction at 9206 Jones Maltsberger Road. Dallas-based Trammell Crow Residential, a subsidiary of Crow Holdings, had acquired the four parcels the project sits on in 2022. Construction work began in early 2023.

The complex sits just above the Loop 410/Highway 281 interchange across the highway from the airport.

One- and two-bedroom units are available. A one-bedroom, 682-square-foot example start at $1,384, which scales up to a two-bedroom, two-bath apartment at 1,226 square feet and starts at $2,045.

In a statement to the Business Journal, a Crow Holdings spokesperson touted Allora's slate of amenities, including a business center, electric vehicle charging stations and dog parks, as well as its proximity to North Star Mall and Quarry Market. The property is also zoned within the Alamo Heights ISD area.

"The simplified building design of Allora is efficient and cost-effective to construct, while still offering sought-after lifestyle amenities, large living spaces, and high-grade finishes, and Allora communities are designed for renters who earn 80%-120% of the area median income," the spokesperson said.

Dallas firm Hensley Lamkin Rachel, Inc. was the architect. Trammell Crow used its in-house contractor team for the build.
