my artistic vision
I hear the words "bichon frise" and my brain spends an uncountably long moment frantically overturning every memory I have, desperately trying to remember what foreign luxury car brand I have to pretend to care about in order for this conversation to go favorably. After my every mote of knowledge about cars has been thoroughly ransacked and I am on the verge of failing this social interaction, a smudged sticky note flutters into view that simply says "small white dog."
bitch on fries? that lil white thang?
The very same.
Pssst... something new is coming...

In wisdom of matriarch and of mother.
Sacred Bodies is a 55-page story about the marriage and relationship between Dualayim and Tolpan.
The peoples residing on the peaks of Spire unto Sky, those who live under the Light, have overcome great struggle to live in prosperity and in peace. Their hard fought-for sanctity and dignity is maintained through the Sacred Body and the tenants of its preservation.
Sacred Bodies explores the topics of desire and deviancy, and the cultural lines drawn between that which delineates one and the other.
what's your vendetta against tales of arise?
i was so excited for dohalim when his design came out. he was so beautiful. and then i play the game and learn that his entire character is that he's privilege man from privilege planet where they are nice to the slaves actually. every other one of his skits is him playing violin and reciting shitty poetry about how he doesn't know the price of a banana. his arc is finding out all the poor people in his seemingly utopian city are being fed evil durians that turn them into goop, creating a giant lake of poor people goop underground. he discovers this when his sworn vassal's brother eats a durian in front of him and turns himself into goop, and while his vassal is crying (because her brother just killed himself for no reason) "hearing a girl cry" makes dohalim so upset that he goes berserk and becomes a boss encounter. literally like some of the most dogshit writing i've ever seen in tales. total waste of a character design. there are a lot of reasons i dislike arise but that's the one that stands out in my memory
it’s like you’re being ratatouilled but the rat is your shame
it’s a great time to be a hater, many things are bad and lots of stuff sucks. it’s also a terrible time to be a hater, because many people will insist that you have to like the bad thing because a company spent millions of dollars making it and it’s just not very nice to say it’s bad
hating is ultimately a philosophy of optimism. the knowledge that things could be better, and the desire to see them improve, differentiates it from the pessimism of idle consumption.
