We're getting close to Halloween, and to the end of the spookiest month of the year. This week isn't too eventful but I'm hoping to have some stuff ready to show on Halloween itself. Regardless, there is SOME stuff to talk about, and of course some amazing fanart.

POPGOES Evergreen:
Let's just get right to it. It's phones. More phones. Again. But I actually have something to show off this week.
Here is another scrapped phone from a looong time ago. This one is called "TV" and, as you can see, it's based on an old television set. It has the same problems as some of the other scrapped phones: It's chunky, outdated, and we have no control over it since the modeller is no longer working with us.
But this isn't a problem. In fact, it gave us an opportunity to work on some new designs with a clearer vision and two years of hindsight! I noticed that the TV phone had a body based on something from the 1950s (roughly), but the UI colour scheme was based on a 1990s/2000s infomercial or channel guide. So we decided to split these eras into two, and make a new phone based entirely on very old black-and-white televisions, and another based on late 90s CRT screens (the kind that professional Smash Bros Melee players use). The latter will have TWO styles as well (colour schemes).
I will likely show these new replacements later this week or next week. I've shown a few people and the consensus is that the new designs are cleaner, closer to being the shape and style of a phone, and are a better representation of what Garrett and I are capable of in 2022. I'm sure you'll love them, though this old version will be missed!
Other stuff for Evergreen is happening but it's either too boring or too secretive to share here. For now you just get phones. Phones phones phones. Probably more next week as well. Phones.

We are continuing work on the next big update. Clickteam Fusion recently had an update which we've had to work around a bit recently, and our testers also keep running into bugs! But we are almost there, really. And then we can finally move onto mobile and console ports. Hang in there, weirdos without a computer; you'll get to play the game soon enough.
Alright, that's it for this week. Nothing too crazy but like I said there will be some stuff on Halloween, and maybe a few other bits and bobs.
And thank you to everyone who has been using their charged stickers on these weekly posts, it helps a lot, and it's awesome to see the feature being used by so many people. It's really quite a clever way to give back to the creators on the site.
