I have been using this phone for a month now, replacing my old phone, the Redmi 8 (64/4GB) which accompanied me for more than 4 years. Yes, for me it is more than enough to use this A15 5G, an amazing upgrade for me, very grateful.
The sad thing for me is that it seems like I bought it when this product was starting to become rare in my country since the A16 was released, luckily I can still have it and in my favorite color, yellow!

I used A12 , A13 before , A15 is the best so far perform better than its predecessor

Something very annoying is the three-second delay until a screenshot is captured. The A54 does not have a delay.

Because I am using a Poco M4 Pro with an AMOLED screen and a 90Hz refresh rate and yes it supports AOD, the screen requirement to run AOD is to use an OLED or AMOLED panel, the Samsung A15 5G uses a Super AMOLED screen, with those specifications it should already support AOD, I don't know why Samsung doesn't include this feature in the phone, maybe it can added in the future software update.

Also worth mentioning: stereo audio recording for video. This provides a spatial effect on phones.
The S series has this since the S3 (2012), but I don't know when they added it to the A's.

Not far off from the experience of my Snapdragon S8. Obviously S9 will be slightly better in terms of pure performance but I'm actually quite surprised with the performance of this device (currently typing this on it)

I can confirm that FM radio is available on my A15 5G so I'm not sure why it says it's only available on the 4G model.

Does the phone actually function properly with its low end cpu? Clock speeds seem to be more or less the same on all these low end phones, which is sad. 150-350 range; unless its a "used" flagship which outperforms lot of them. Hard to find a mid range phone with high clock speeds with newer os WITH SD CARD..
I have a older one with similiar cpu, tends to be laggy. Even my galaxy 9+ with higher clocks performs wonderfully compared to any mid range phone in 2024

People love to exaggerate the ads on Xiaomi phones despite many everyday apps they use like YouTube, Instagram and Tiktok being similarly littered with them. Even F2P games are full of ads.

Many people who want compact budget phones went elsewhere because Samsung stopped providing them with that kind of phone a few years ago. Now they only provide the compact S phone for the rich.

my mother paid this phone for 200 euros.Its currently my phone its a rlly good phone for heavy games,i tested fortnite and fall guys and cod mobile they run rlly good beside fortnite u get 30 fps but on fall guys u can get 60 fps i think same thing with cod mobile and also the good thing is this phone has a 90hz refresh rate this is by far the best phone i had.

My mom bought the A14 and my dad bought the A15 and both of them look cheaper than my A12. I have the Blue version and it still looks amazing. Samsung phones of late like the A14 and A15 look cheaper, despite having better specs so I am switching to Motorola for my upgrade. Samsung must go to this design for low and mid range phones. The blue on the A12 is amazing. In 2024 only the S series high-end Samsungs look nice.

Here’s a quick education on some fundamentals. It’s very worth the read.
First, let’s define the terms:
“Device size”: length from top to bottom of device itself.
“Display size”: screen size measured diagonally, usually bigger than device size.
Examples:
S24 Ultra: 6.8 inch display, 6.39 inch device
S24 Plus: 6.7 inch display, 6.24 inch device
S24: 6.2 inch display, 5.79 inch device
Conclusion:
Device can be a half inch smaller than display without sacrificing anything.
So why is the gap between display and device size in budget phones much less? Because of useless bezels i.e. dead space around the screen that just contributes to a bulkier device size for ABSOLUTELY NO REASON. The most egregious example is the A14 with a 6.6 display and 6.6 device size due to its gigantic bezels. Remove that dead space and you’re left with a more manageable 6.2 inch device. The A15 is somewhat better, but the gap is still 6.5 to 6.3. The A55/A35 are slightly better, with a gap of 6.6 to 6.34/6.37, but they can also be 6.2 inches.
But will the battery fit? Well, the 6.23 inch A54 clearly shows a 5000 mAh battery fitting into 6.2 inches. So why are bezels added? To purposely stick it to budget customers! It’s not like the manufacturer has to go out of their way and do anything extra for budget customers, just DON’T ADD dead space!
You may ask: “What’s a few tenths of an inch already?” Well guess what, the difference between a compact device and a big bulky one is often less than an inch. So in phones, every tenth of an inch makes a real difference.
Weight is also a problem. As an example, the S24 Plus is 6.91 oz. So why is the A15 - 7.05 oz, the A14 - 7.13 oz, the A55 - very heavy at 7.37 oz, and the A35 - an astounding 7.51 oz! The A13 seems to manage just fine at 6.88 oz. And when you’re holding a phone for a while, you can bet that those ounces (or grams) add up to tire and/or hurt your hand!
Bottom line:
In addition to the discussion of producing actual compact phones that are affordable which should absolutely be done, today’s budget phones can be more manageable IN THEIR CURRENT FORM if their useless dead space and extra weight is removed.
