Now, millions of customers, fastest growing startups and even largest enterprises use AWS which makes one wonder what are the services provided by the AWS that lure so many clients towards them?

Amazon Web Services (AWS) provides on demand cloud computing platforms following pay-as-you-go policy providing resources and the services to the individuals, companies and government for which they only have to pay the upfront amount i.e. the amount for the resources they’ve used. That means that any business can start from the bottom and AWS provides all the tools necessary.

Not only this, AWS has the best global infrastructure providing the users with security, availability, performance, global footprint, scalability and flexibility. AWS provides you with cloud infrastructure wherever and whenever you need it with single digit millisecond latency offering over 175 fully featured services from data centers globally. Only challenge that AWS faces are man-made and natural risks, as in a physical disaster for which they are continuously innovating designs. Although, Amazon launches more than one zone in a region which has multiple data centers for the very reason if one zone ever fails, the other keeps on providing the required services.

Now, coming back to Domino’s Pizza Enterprise and as to how the customers are getting their pizza faster, hotter and fresher. Jumping straight into it, the company recently launched Project3TEN, an innovative that aims to have pizza ready for pickup within 3 minutes or safely delivered within 10. To achieve this target efficient cooking methods and transportation technologies are to be used with more number of stores near customers but is that enough?

Domino’s turned to Amazon Web Services to help create a predictive ordering solution. Domino’s started using AWS machine learning algorithms which predict as to what pizza would be ordered next. The company uses Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) for data storage, AWS glue for data querying and Amazon SageMaker to build and train machine learning models to predict the likelihood that an order will be placed, so a store can begin making that order right before it is placed.

Now that customers started getting their pizza under 10 minutes because of predictive ordering solution provided by AWS fulfilling the Project3TEN venture, Dominos has become an increasingly digital business with more than 70 percent sales coming from online orders with reduced pickup and delivery times. As for the competitors of Domino’s, their pickup and delivery time is still more than what domino’s provide, so dominos has been successful in keeping the customers satisfied maintaining a network of more than 2600 stores globally based in Brisbane, Australia.
