Scenes from a trailer for the second season of Squid Game were filmed in a Sussex seaside town.

Netflix’s most popular show, which first aired in 2021, has been slowly revealing a follow-up season for months.

Squid Game 2 premiered on Netflix on December 26 with seven episodes to watch, and Netflix have already announced that a third season will be coming in 2025.

In a teaser trailer for the new season posted on social media, various shots seem to show a pink soldier, who are the main antagonists in the Korean show, on the Worthing seafront.

In one scene the soldier can be seen waiting at a bus stop on the coastline as passersby film them on live feeds, whilst another shows the pink soldier standing on the beach staring at Worthing pier.

Squid Game is a South Korean dystopian survival thriller created by Hwang Dong-hyuk for Netflix.

The first season of the show became Neflix’s most-watched series when it was released and the show even won two Emmys.

The new season follows-on years after the first show concluded, Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae), aka Player 456, returns to the deadly games with the goal to end the gruesome competition once and for all.

Forced to play a new set of games, Gi-hun finds himself locked in a tense battle with the shadowy Front Man (Lee Byung-hun), whose motivations remain unknown as the mind and survival games of the season begin.

The show can now be watched exclusively on Netflix.
