There's a few you could make-
- The name "Shannon" isn't special or anything, but Kanon specifically asked for a new servant to be brought in using the name for one of a few possible reasons.
- Normal servant names are either based on the servant's real name and can end up reused if servants with similar names are hired, or come from a preset list of reusable ones (which would explain why those seven servants' names perfectly align with the seven stakes), but "Kanon" is a name Kanon just made up for himself that couldn't have come from anywhere else. That is, "Shannon" isn't the exception in being inheritable, "Kanon" is the exception in being unique.
- The red just means Kanon's name HASN'T been inherited and thus can't be suggested to have been inherited under the rules of the game. Since this is never said over "Shannon" that simply doesn't apply.

Nah, he certainly originally expected Phase 2 at least to be out before Gou (thus the "Red Planet" reference from Eua and the Phase 02 preview he released so people could see it was indeed a Ciconia reference).

Even before any Gou backlash, he delayed Ciconia. Back then his excuse for the delay was the pandemic (and phase 1 does foresahdow the creation of magical vaccine... that turns out to have a grave side-effect, lowering people's IQ, basically turning them into zombies - so in this case at least, you could see how he might want to hesitate to release something that would end up reading as anti-vaccination propaganda). But going from pandemic to wars feels like him just finding excuses now that he has no hope Ciconia Phase 02 would sell well.

Rosatrice is just a fan theory but I do respect it for trying to de-troonify Umineko and not symphazing with serial killers nor making everyone evil. It works up until EP 7 where it becomes really obvious copium. I'd like to write my own EP 7-8 that promotes Rosatrice. Here's what I had in mind:

EP 7 - Similar to the canon, except its Rosa and George instead of "Yasu." Will debunks Shkanontrice, killing Lion. Everything seems happy, but it turns out Rosa was tricking Battler with yet another north wind and sun strategy and traps everyone in yet another game. Cliffhanger on a bad ending. Think of what happens in Minagoroshi.

EP 8 - In the Golden Land, everyone's souls rebel against Rosa and George, with Ange leading the charge. Rosa and George is defeated and sent to oblivion alongside Erika, creating a 1986 where everyone survives but those two. Battler gets with Shannon and adopts Maria. Battler becomes the new head, completing the foreshadowing of him being the next Kinzo which means absolutely nothing in Shkanontrice.

The artist is a japanese woman, as for why she deleted I have my theories. Either she was harassed by some deranged Satorika yuritroons which I have seen happen MULTIPLE times to WTC artists for pairing Keiichi up with Satoko espesically on twitter, or the one I believe in the most was some sort of relationship drama with another Satokei artist leading her to delete her account. I noticed this other prominent Satokei artist not posting ever since she deleted her account. They used to follow each other and comment on their art whenever they posted so it's not impossible, Talk about a heavy fucking blow losing TWO Satokei artists at the same time... all we can do is hope and pray they come back and stay for good this time

I think the only aspect of Gou/Sotsu that guy ever acknowledges as bad is the goofy violence/lack of atmosphere. And when there is an aspect he disagrees with he seems to just pretend it doesn't exist like R07's statements about how Satoko is a normal girl and anyone would act the same in her situation (and the entire ending is based on this, with Satoko receiving treatment or support, just resolving her school fight with Rika) - he ignores all that and keeps saying Satoko is mentally ill (but then he says she just gets better by the ending, so the ending still works for him).

Based on the various interviews from recent years, I guess he sees any character as being able to take any role, so the "real fans" probably would be the ones that line up with that view - being able to enjoy their character doesn't matter what kind of role they're getting.

Up to a point, I think he always kind of had this view. Don't forget one of the story ideas mentioned in Matsuribayashi's secret ending is Akasaka becoming an enemy thanks to Takano and joining her. Now, it wasn't an issue because it was just a throw away line - I think he knew he'd get backlash for this kind of stuff back then, but then grew confidence in his style later on during Umineko, in spite of his VN sales decreasing.

As far as the Goats go, note that in his Umineko era interviews about the ending, he says anyone who really thought about it should have gotten to the "correct" answer or close to it. Thus, his portrayal of the goats. If they're shouting wildly incorrect stuff, it's because they aren't even trying to engage with the story. The problem is that his reading of people in the real world was completely wrong there, thus the backlash he got back then form the Japanese fanbase.
