5 YEARS OF POPGOES!
Today marks the 5th anniversary of POPGOES' original release on Game Jolt. Five years of people playing my first proper FNAF fangame, and even then it took a year and a half to develop, so I've been doing this for over SIX years!
Now, originally, we weren't going to do too much for the anniversary other than the full Stone reveal, which you guys managed to get early by giving POPGOES Evergreen 10,000 followers: https://gamejolt.com/p/10-000-follower-celebration-update-w4vpgppw
But we changed our minds, after we realised that Dawko's charity livestream for The Trevor Project was happening on the same day...
So we gave Dawko a real-life package with a letter, and an exclusive showcase demo with new things for him to reveal to everyone when certain donation goals are met. And, within 3 hours, Dawko had already raised the amount for the highest goal of $10,000! You can watch the stream here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WUBUjPXdmPE
But I think it's only fair that I relay all of the rewards on here as well, for those who missed them. So, let's go...
GOAL 1 ($2,000) - Anniversary Artwork
Our cartoon artist made this super cool artwork for POPGOES' 5th anniversary, featuring new Popgoes and old Popgoes!
Artwork by StupidButterfly
GOAL 2 - ($4,000) - Song Premiere
The first song from the POPGOES Evergreen soundtrack has been released! I have commissioned Radiarc, my favourite FNAF fan composer EVER (even though he only ever made 2 FNAF songs like 6 years ago...). And he absolutely KILLED it! I have uploaded the track, Ad Machina, to the POPGOES Evergreen Game Jolt page, as well as on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qpWNBkWkYFw
Music by Radiarc
GOAL 3 - ($8,000) - Room Reveal
The Art Room has been revealed. You should watch Dawko opening this part of his showcase demo, because it was animated and even interactive... Hope you like how it looks! You should compare it to the original... jeez.
Models by Garrett Tube and MrNobody, textures by StupidButterfly & Others
GOAL 4 - ($10,000) - Trading Cards
POPGOES Evergreen features collectible trading cards! When Dawko reached $10,000 on his stream, he opened his package, revealing some REAL cards that we hand-made for him and some of the people who donated!
And in Evergreen, you'll be able to collect up to FIFTY cards with beautiful artwork, showcased with a shader that Emil programmed in Clickteam that simulates 3D rotation and really cool lighting effects. There's even more to this, but that's all we're gonna show for now!
There are no plans to make these official merchandise, but if there's a big enough demand... who knows what might happen!

Something extra - Baby the Cat
In the original POPGOES game, there is a page in the credits dedicated to Dawko and DAGames for donating to a GoFundMe page to help pay for surgery for my cat, Baby. Without the surgery, Baby was at risk of more serious complications which could have led to him dying. He was 12 years old at this point which is fairly old for a cat:
Well, I'd like to say that thanks to their generosity, Baby the Cat is still with us, at 17 years old (literally the same age as my sister who is now studying her finals...) and is still a very active and very funny member of our family. Here are some photos we took of him today:
He is a dumbass, but he is alive, and honestly doing insanely well for a 17-year-old outdoor cat. I thought you guys might have liked an update on him so there you go.
I will also be posting to a new Twitter account called POPGOES: Lost & Found soon, where you'll be able to see rare, obscure, or straight up never-before-seen images from the original, pre-reboot POPGOES series. You can follow it here: https://twitter.com/LostPOPGOES
I'd like to thank everyone who has supported me and my projects for the past half-decade (well, more than that for some of you). This includes everyone from the original POPGOES team, everyone who has played or shared these games, and especially the extremely talented and dedicated people who have stuck around to help develop POPGOES Evergreen, the best possible version of my story I could have EVER asked for. Seriously, the list of people working on this game looks like a hall of fame. I'm extremely lucky.
And lastly, I'd like to thank Scott who of course inspired the creation of POPGOES in the first place, but who also funded and fully supported the rebooted series as a part of the Fazbear Fanverse. He is truly passionate about his IP, and his enthusiasm and innovation very clearly hasn't faded over the years. I wish him the best and look forward to continuing to work with him.
Once again, thank you everyone for sticking around and giving me another chance to impress you with a full-on FNAF fangame. POPGOES Evergreen is still very early in development (I bet you're sick of hearing that, but at least we're showing stuff lol), but it will be worth the wait, I promise. I hope the quality of everything we've released so far has proven how dedicated we are at making the best product possible. Hang in there!
