Spotted on HMV Japan. Sonic X Shadow Generations is getting a physical soundtrack release. The soundtrack is comprised of 2 discs.

It's a Japanese released CD and Christmas Day isn't a public holiday there. It's a regular working day.

The description is kind of interesting because it mentions a couple artists working on this game. We already know about Teddyloid, but they also confirm that S.A.M.E. and The Qemists have worked on the soundtrack in some capacity.

I'm surprised The Qemists are somehow still alive despite releasing fuck all since 2019's Crevasse.

The Sonic X Shadow Generations soundtrack, titled Perfect | Reflections, is coming soon. In fact, it is coming on December 25! It is sure to have all the songs from the game here, and I am sure it could be a blast to listen to! It is already on sites such as Amazon and Animate, available for preorder as we speak. I might get this soundtrack when it comes out, or I might preorder this soon when I get a chance to do so.

What about you all? Is anyone going to get this?

Wow. "Sonic X Shadow Generations" original soundtrack CD release in Christmas Day (December 25). I wonder if SEGA and Wavemaster will release the digital version of the album in Christmas Day too.

I've been waiting for this! I have every Sonic game OST aside from Sonic 4, so I've been looking forward to seeing this announcement. Pre-ordered immediately from CDJapan.

Probably will only have the Shadow stuff plus any new music if they decide to add some to Sonic Gens. I already have Blue Blur so I don't need those tracks again anyway. I'm really looking forward to playing this alongside the Shadow the Hedgehog OST

Definitely pre ordereing the soundtrack for Sonic X Shadow Generations will go nicely with my other Sonic soundtrack CD & Vinyl album's. Going to pre order on Amazon JP.

The soundtrack to SONIC X SHADOW GENERATIONS has popped up on Amazon Japan with the name "Perfect | Reflections". There are no pictures for it right now, and the only confirmed tracks are the ones that have already been released (Space Colony ARK: Act 1, Kingdom Valley: Act 1, and Chaos Island: Act 1)

Oh good, this is relieving. I was starting to worry the limited run games collectors edition was the only chance to get this game's ost. I just hope it goes up on Amazon Global eventually.

I hope this game getting a soundtrack will also get sega to reprint the Sonic Generations soundtrack cd for awhile too.

Would imagine this is the case, similar to the Sonic Re-Colours OST which only featured the remixed music, not the whole soundtrack.

Pre-ordered the CD and eagerly looking forward to this - the physical CD soundtracks are one of my favourite thing about this series. The digital soundtrack with the pre-order will be nice to have in the meantime though (even if I expect that to be a sampler rather than a full OST).

I reckon that's quite unlikely as only very, very few of these soundtracks have been put on record and they tend to be the ones that have reached some sort of a critical cool point mass in the West, as that's the only audience for any vinyl releases of these soundtracks. Don't think Sonic x Shadow has quite that clout yet.

It would be interesting to try to scientifically measure this "cool critical mass" point, if for no other reason than it reads like something from the scrolling banner in Sonic Spinball.
