Question Which file manager does not try to identify file types by signatures?

[Log in to get rid of this advertisement]
Some file managers like Nemo read the beginning of every file in a folder to try to find out the real file type instead of relying on a correct file name extension.

Sometimes, this behaviour is more undesirable than helpful because it causes a performance penalty on large folders such as a "DCIM/Camera" folder (where file extensions are correct anyway, so there is no need for checking file signatures).

Which graphical file manager does not do that?
