Introduction: Dr. E. Shaji is an Associate Professor & Research guide in the Dept. of Geology, University of Kerala, India. Prior to the University service he worked as a professional hydrogeologist (Scientist D) in Central Ground Water Board, Ministry of Water Resources, Govt of India. He has 23 years of professional/ industry/teaching experience in Geosciences with focus on groundwater and petrology. Three scholars took PhD with him, and guided several M.Phil. and M.Sc. students. He bagged Young Scientist Award from Kerala State Council for Science Technology and Environment, Govt. of Kerala. He is an Associate Editor of Geoscience Frontiers.
