Treasury Pick Bessent to Meet Elizabeth Warren on Capitol Hill

Scott Bessent, President-elect Donald Trump’s pick to run the Treasury Department, will meet with frequent Wall Street critic and Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren on Wednesday, part of a series of meetings he’s having on Capitol Hill ahead of his confirmation hearings next month.

Bessent is on Capitol Hill to meet with a set of Republican and Democratic senators on Wednesday, including Warren, outgoing Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Texas Senator Ted Cruz and Oklahoma Senator James Lankford, according to a statement from Trump’s transition team.
