Job description

HireArt is helping our client find an experienced Data Engineer (Annotation Services) to work alongside machine learning engineers (internal and external) and company vendors.

In this role, you will be responsible for building robust, scalable software to support every development stage of automotive AI. You will work with cross-functional teams to develop APIs, create tools, and create internal dashboards to support the end-to-end process.

As a Data Engineer (Annotation Services), you'll:
  • Build and continuously improve large-scale iterative pipelines and APIs for the following:
    • (Data exploration, data annotation, training, and deployment for modern deep learning on camera, LiDAR, radar, and other sensory data).
  • Integrate and extend APIs to facilitate workflows from internal teams to external vendors.
  • Work closely with the annotation operations team to create scripts, dashboards, and ETLs to support the labeling and QA process. 
  • Provide support to researchers and engineers interested in starting up new annotation projects.
  • Communicate, estimate, and design new features to meet the needs of machine learning engineers inside and outside of
  • the company.
  • Develop analytics and monitoring as well as implement CI/CD best practices for our products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong programming ability with Python
  • Strong experience integrating with cloud services
  • Proficiency in SQL and Git 
  • Experience using/interacting with APIs and databases
  • Excellent communication and people engagement skills
  • Be fun, enthusiastic, curious, and patient

Preferred Experience:
  • Proven ability to define and implement metrics and practice metrics-driven development
  • Solid understanding of web security and evolving web security standards
  • Experience working with identity providers such as Microsoft Entra or Okta and being able to implement access control in services and applications
  • Experience with 3D visualizations or simulations
