What do Expert Witnesses Have to Say For Themselves?

Ten young men are said to have abused a 15-year-old in the Hamburg city park in September 2020. They have been in court for a year and a half, and on Tuesday the verdict is to be brought. A psychiatrist explains what role the social background of the perpetrator group plays.

An interview published in “Spiegel” comments on testimony the psychiatrist Dr Nahlah Saimeh gave during trial to the prosecution as to motivation behind the dreadful attack. As an American who does not speak German, hastily translating articles and interviews took up some time until I went to Dr Saimeh’s professional academic site and decided to contact her directly. Below, I’ve attached screenshots of our conversations concerning the emotionally charged responses she’s gotten from her quotes being published.
