I use Vertigo Tabs (vertical tab sidebar).
When I press Ctrl+V, I often hit Ctrl+B instead, unwantedly opening the bookmark sidebar, replacing Vertigo Tabs. Ctrl+Y to re-open Vertigo Tabs doesn't work while a text area is highlighted, because it is reserved for "re-do", so I have to manually open Vertigo Tabs each time. This is getting on my nerves.
I want Ctrl+B to do exactly nothing. How to accomplish this?

You will probably need an extension for this. In a quick search, I found this below. Looks like it should do what you want:
