Hello, I’m Echo, a gorgeous five-year-old old greyhound looking for a loving home now I’ve retired from racing.
I came to the National Animal Welfare Trust a month ago with my best friend Duncan and we were very scared at first but the lovely team at NAWT showered us with love and praise and now we’re absolutely thriving
It would be amazing if someone could rehome us together as we’re truly bonded by our past and seek reassurance in each other but we’d be brave enough to find our own separate forever homes if we need to.
I’m an adorable goofball, I love fuss and attention. I’m a nosey boy who loves to watch what’s going on in the yard and I’ll leap with excitement when I see my favourite people.
Like a typical greyhound, I enjoy slow walks and snoozing the day away, I’ve recently learnt how to play and did my first zoomies, which was great!
I’d be happy to live with another dog in my new home if they’re a similar size to me and we get on when we meet at the centre. I couldn’t live with small dogs or cats because I’d be tempted to chase them.
I’m looking for a family who’ll be home a lot of the time and be understanding of my needs to help me settle in. I can live with older children who could read my body language and understand when I need space, or some reassurance.
It’s important to have a garden to run around in too now I’ve discovered the art of zoomies!
