Bits had a good life. Sure there were ups and downs, like the time Bits accidentally slammed the door on their own foot or locked themself out of their own bathroom, but it was still a life worth living.
That is until the incident.
After a long three hours searching Walmart for the perfectly squishy avocado, Bits returned home exhausted but successful.
Unfortunately Bits had forgotten to buy the rest of their groceries. They had no dinner. Only avocado.
As they peeled and pitted the avocado, Bits absorbed the godly avocado aroma. Sprinkling on exactly 6 grains of salt, Bits took the first and only bite.
“Excellent” thought the Bits.
Satisfied with their one bite, Bits retired to bed, resting for 3 hours. For the first time in years, Bits woke up feeling refreshed. Probably thanks to that fresh avocado.
Something felt off though. Perhaps the avocado wasn’t as fresh as the squish had led them to believe. Bits felt their stomach rumble and contract. They threw off their blankets and hurriedly dashed to the bathroom.
Bits keeled over the toilet, ready to release the foul trash that crept at the bottom of their esophagus. Just as quickly as the pain came, the contents went. Relief washed over Bits until they looked into the toilet only to see... potatoes?
Potatoes and.. some thick white liquid? Strange.
Without a second though, Bits flushed the toilet. They watched as the contents swirled down the toilet never to be seen again.
After several seconds spacing out, Bits realized their mouth tasted foul. Naturally, Bits walked to the bathroom sink ready to freshen up for a brand new day.
In the mirror, however, was not in fact completely Bits. Bits stared hard at what had become of their skin. A weird combination of yellow and white. There was somehow a light sheen that stretched across the surface.
Bits tapped their face only to see a small stiff peak form on their finger and at the surface that was touched. A piece of their face had come off and dropped on to the sink. Bits stared at the piece and felt...
This dollop of goop looked too familiar. Bits was afraid.
Bits fried to calm down. There was no way this is what Bits thought it was. It had to be... lotion! Yes! It’s definitely lotion! Perhaps Bits just forgot to completely rub it on their face the night prior.
Something irked Bits. This didn’t explain the rest of their skin. Confirming their suspicion, Bits licked their hand and tasted... mayonnaise.
Only one word was heard across the Omori fandom that day.
“AGONY.”
