Monash University has cut ties with 360info, an open source research newswire launched by The Conversation’s founder Andrew Jaspan that relied on the university for a substantial portion of its funding.

360info will continue operating despite Monash’s withdrawal, but the newswire will immediately shed 10 staff positions funded by the partnership, bringing its headcount down from 24 to 14.
