I can't think of many cartoon creators that would be a good fit for this, maybe I don't know enough, but in all honesty I think this show just needed a few restrictions. It would have benefitted from being on a network that would force Viv to be less vulgar and give it a more traditional structure. But that sort of outlet doesn't exist. If Rick and Morty is anything to go by, Adult Swim probably wouldn't have censored Viv that much and any directions on structuring she was given might just serve to make the series worse. On Comedy Central it'd still be edgy but a sort of toned down edginess that'd just make it even more grating. If it was a Netflix series, canceled after one season. If it were an Amazon series... well, we all see how Hazbin turned out. Cheap. Infinitely worse. And if you were forced to reconceptualize it and make it a show for kids you'd probably lose too much, it'd become something else entirely. So I think Helluva Boss is probably best as is, even though it could be much better.

I would keep the animation team but just axe Vivien, Brandon, and all the other episode directors from writing the show (save for the musicals). I'd keep the tone closer to the pilot. Especially the Blitz and Stolas relationship. Stolas as this weird power bottom who demands to be fucked while also having an agenda (getting more people to Hell). I'd love to see him shrugging off his wife's bitching about his sex life.

I also liked the cutaway gags / nonlinear story telling of the pilot and how it resembled a classic Brandon Rogers short.

In general it'd be nice if it felt like we are in Hell more. Only time I actually laughed at a joke was when Stolas got invited to a party on Earth and he expected cake but they were sacrificing someone to him. This is what this show needs: play with our expectations. Like the weeb mini episode. They often say "we are in hell, who cares", then why are they constantly bitching about their feelings? Everyone should be fucking left and right....
