Nostratos (Japanese: ドラドーン / Dradon) is a dual-type Dragon/Flyingpseudo-legendary Pokémon, and is one of the original Fakemon created for Pokémon Altair, Sirius and Vega.
It evolves from Dragune starting at level 50. It is the final form of Laquagon.
Claimed to be the rival of Hoenn's savior, Rayquaza, Nostratos is an interesting pseudo-legend, in its own right. With outstanding attacking stats on both fronts and speed, the Grand Dragon excels as an offensive powerhouse with ease with Draco Meteor and Typhoon. Possessing the coveted Baton Pass, Nostratos can also be used as a Baton Passer thanks to its plethora of setup moves such as Dragon Dance, Nasty Plot, and Agility along with Intimidate to grant setup opportunities with its Ground immunity.
However, the Grand Dragon still has a few cons:
1) Nostratos's overall typing is not the best defensively much like fellow pseudo Dragonite, especially when compared to its pre-evolutions' amazing dual typing of Dragon/Water, which is only 1 Weakness: Dragon.
2) Nostratos's defenses, while respectable, are a bit weak, especially for supportive roles. Although, its physical defense is heavily cushioned by its Intimidate.
3) Nostratos's movepool, while decent, could be better. Raze Earth, Raging Flame, Heat Wave, and Focus Blast would have been awesome to have.
4) Other Pokémon that share one of Nostratos's types can perform its roles much more efficiently, thanks to their wider movepools, stats, and/or abilities, even though Nostratos does very strong work with Nasty Plot sweeper. (EX: Mingola, Latias, Latios, Blizentork, Gatanoia, Roytsar, R'Duckulus, Ganimede, Coruda, Komoragon, Conductot, Pteriarch, etc.)
That said, one shouldn't underestimate Nostratos; it's a pseudo legendary for a very good reason.
Nostratos (and its entire family) seem to have their in-game cries based from the cries of the Bagon family, which is interesting since they almost share all the exact typings. Nostratos in particular has a cry combination of Shelgon and Salamence.
Design Origin[]
Nostratos appears to be based off of the more traditional eastern dragons that appear in old Asian folkore.
These dragons were usually thousands of years old according to the legends, and usually had long whiskers or other facial features of the like.
Name Origin[]
Part of Nostratos' name comes from stratosphere; which then makes sense of its Flying typing, considering how similar it is to Rayquaza, despite being a mere pseudo-legendary (both being long, eastern-dragon based designs with incredible offenses).

can this thing learn roost through breeding?
No, it cannot, since Laquagon is unable to fly.
