BREAKING: The American Society of Plastic Surgeons, an organization representing 92% of all board-certified plastic surgeons in the U.S., becomes the first major medical association to break from the consensus over “gender-affirming care” for minors.
This is big news.
American pediatric gender medicine has its first major whistle blower. This was inevitable. There will be more. Jamie is courageous beyond words. The things she has seen shock the conscience.
These are kids. Enough.

BREAKING:
21 leading experts on pediatric gender medicine from 8 countries have written a Letter to the Editor of expressing disagreement with the and its new president over the treatment of youth gender dysphoria.
This is huge.
Me: “What’s a ‘lunk alarm’?”
Planet Fitness: “Oh, that’s when a gym bro grunts too loudly and makes women uncomfortable.”
Woman: “There’s a dude in the women’s locker room and it’s making us uncomfortable.”
Planet fitness: “Give me your membership card, you whiny bigot woman.”
Just stop. Nobody is buying this. Trans girls aren’t girls. They’re boys (or “biological males,” if you feel so inclined) who want to be treated as girls. You know this. I know this. Everybody knows this. And everybody knows that you know this. Have some self-respect, Jay.

Hey there. Shermichael knows exactly the language he's using. He's not some innocent rube - he's a longtime GOP strategist. Saying "boys in girls sports" was not some slight slip-up. It was denying that trans girls are girls, full stop.
The myth that trans-identified kids will kill themselves if not given drugs and surgeries is pernicious disinformation.
Here are 10 things you need to know to combat it:

INCREDIBLE: The Texas Senate is holding a hearing on its proposed ban on pediatric gender medicine. Dr. Megan Mooney, a psychologist, testified against the bill.

IMPORTANT:

A detransitioner has just filed a lawsuit against Dr. Jason Rafferty, Dr. Michelle Forcier, Thundermist Health Clinic, and others.
This is a major development, as Rafferty is the author of the policy statement on "gender-affirming care."
“Yes, they are conducting medical experiments on those men in Tuskegee, leading to physical impairments and death. But the true scandal here is that a whistleblower is sharing (highly redacted and unidentifiable) information with a journalist!”
Washington Post editorial board:
“But the realities of human biology raise legitimate questions about any notion that trans women should always and everywhere be treated exactly like cisgender women.”
The Overton window is opening.
That's it.
We have hard evidence, black on white, that the World Professional Association for Transgender Health violated core principles of evidence-based medicine when writing its latest "standards of care."

This is 14-year-old Annaleigh. She lost a track meet in Washington state to a boy. Listen to her tell her story to a stunned room of 500+ adults. I challenge any lawmaker who supports such policies to meet with Annaleigh and tell her why – to her face. I can arrange.

I can't believe that the U.S. federal government is defending this.

Dr. Hammes' claim that "gender-affirming care" is a suicide prevention measure, the intl' experts say in their WSJ letter, "is contradicted by every systematic review."
This is just astonishing. He goes from absolute certainty that it’s not happening, to acknowledging that it is happening but it’s fine because teen girls are being properly vetted, to insisting there should be little or no vetting, all in the space of 2 minutes.
