Jack Turban is one of the leading intellectuals of the trans activist movement and he said the central concept of transgenderism is a "transcendent, ineffable feeling" called "gender identity."
This is modern mysticism. It is essentially spiritual language. Why? Because transgender identity is sold not just as a medical condition but as a spiritual solution to a spiritual wound.
The wound is a craving for meaning, purpose, community, and, most importantly, a sense of the transcendent, of the Numinous.
Like modern New Age spirituality, the religion of gender tells you that you will find meaning and purpose and realize your true self if you go inward and reflect, search your soul, and discover the authentic truth that is the "transcendent, ineffable feeling" of what your "true gender" is.
Once you find your "true gender self," you are given a narrative that the self uses to spin a story and reframe your past memories and current thoughts and feelings in terms of everything in your life having gone astray fundamentally because your "ineffable gender self" was misaligned.
Functionally speaking, this concept is similar to Scientology's concept of thetans being misaligned in your soul. It's essentially postulating a nonempirical, immaterial, ineffable, nonmeasurable inner spiritual state as the central psycho-biological wound causing all the central problems in your life.
You are sold on the idea that if you can correct this wound by bringing your body and identity to be more in line with this "true gender self," your life and identity will finally make sense to you, which will bring a sense of ultimate contentment and true happiness.
Upon realization of your "true gender self," the religion of gender then says that you must start your spiritual journey, which is called a "gender transition," that results in an endless quest to continually modify your body and mind to conform to your "true gender self."
In extreme cases, people who buy into the gender religion can become addicted to surgery and continuously postpone their happiness until the next procedure or "transition milestone, claiming that they will finally be happy only when they get their next surgery, their next procedure, their next hit of gender euphoria.
The final goal of the gender religion is to bring total alignment between your "true gender self" and your body and your mind. Only then will you become transformed into your real self and find lasting happiness.
The High Priests of this religion are activist surgeons and doctors who rake in money performing ritual body modification ceremonies. Like most modern cults, the gender religion spreads its gospel through social media and modern digital communication. But this cult has also infected journalism, media, Hollywood, academia, the government, the corporate environment, the Democratic party, the education system, and most of the left-of-center intelligentsia.
The acolytes of this religion are waging a holy war to force everyone to realize their true gender and legally and socially recognize the reality of their true gender selves. Even if you are not transgender, "c*s people" are encouraged to also "look inside" and see if their "true gender self" is " really c*s" to confirm they do not also need to also modify their body and mind to find happiness.
If you don't recognize the truth of their religion, they will do everything in their power to either silence you or ruin your reputation or even threaten violence for not being a true believer.
The gender cult calls nonbelievers or infidels "tr*nsphobes" and calls blasphemy "tr*nsphobia." This is a matter of freedom of religion. Freedom to not believe in the gender religion and not have the government force that religion upon anybody against their will.
