The point is that the entire framing of “life saving healthcare” is fundamentally based on emotional manipulation tactic typical in abuse cases. We don’t treat any other mental health condition like this. If a BPD patient demands X or else they’ll kill themselves, we wouldn’t consider giving them X without reservations “life saving healthcare.” The framing is important and we normally let mental health patients frame the narrative of their own clinical care and then politicize it in terms of “genocide.”
