This is going to get me in hot water with my feminist followers, but I think the typical feminist framing around abortion is disingenuous. When framed differently, the moral conflict of rights becomes apparent: Is it obvious women always have the autonomous right to kill their own baby? And if so, under which conditions? To simply frame this as "taking choice away from women" is disingenuous if you sincerely believe living beings with the *potential* to grow up to be a conscious person have intrinsic moral worth. Because what is the "choice" we are talking about? "Choice" is a euphemism for "killing your own baby." We might think there are situations where women do have the autonomous right to kill their own baby (e.g. if their own health is threatened) but to frame it as the "choice to do with your own body what you will" is not accurate as this is an ontologically separate individual living human being with full potential to grow into a conscious person. Without this moral conflict of rights, pro-choicers simply cannot understand the philosophical and moral issues of why this is a contentious issue.
