Up until today, it was impossible to verify that the source code a "dApp" published on Solana corresponded to what you were interacting with on mainnet... This means that even if the smart contracts were open-source, you could not verify that they were actually open-source... (because you couldn't reproduce the build). For the first time, now you can verify that a dApp on Solana is running the code that they claim they are on Github, and this is for some reason being hailed as a monumental step forward in "transparency". What an absolute joke. This is the state of decentralization and security in TPS go BRRRRR blockchains.
