Video: Tuba Player Mocks White Supremacist Marchers with 'Ride of the Valkyries'

When white-supremacist groups decided to march in support of the Confederate flag in Columbia, South Carolina on Saturday, a local musician provided them with some toddling music accompaniment.

Matt Buck, a Columbia resident who studied tuba performance at the University of South Carolina, showed up at the march with his sousaphone to perform several dopey pieces followed by Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries.

The identity of the marchers in the video itself is unclear, but several reports say they are members of the South Carolina Chapter of the Klu Klux Klan and the National Socialist Movement Party, a neo-Nazi group. The groups marched to protest South Carolina legislators' decision to take down the Confederate flag from above their official offices following the Charleston shooting.

"I didn't really know how to show my opposition," Buck told the Charleston City Paper, "so that was my way of doing it." He added that the Wagner selection reminded him of a scene in "The Blues Brothers."

The short clip has received nearly 3.3 million views since it was posted last week by anti-KKK supporter, Diana Martin. (H/T: Gawker)
