For the purpose of this tuorial, I’ll assume you have already installed the Ollama application and also have at least one model installed.

First, let’s take a look at what commands we have available in Ollama:

Run Ollama help to see the available commands

ollama help

Run Ollama list to see the models you have installed

Choose a Model to Set the System Prompt

First, we need to see what the system prompt is. For this, I’ve chosen dolphin-mixtral.

Now, I’ll look at the system prompt using the --system flag

ollama show dolphin-mixtral:8x7b-v2.5-q2_K --system

Run the Model to Access Settings
