Subsea7 eyes $20 billion of upstream opportunities including huge Black Sea project

Brazil projects are key targets, with Bay du Nord, Wisting, Sakarya - and Venus in Namibia - also in company's sights

Subsea7 is eyeing some $20 billion worth of contracting opportunities in the booming oil and gas sector, according to chief executive John Evans.

Key targets include contracts in Canada and Norway, where the company is in pole position on yet-to-be-sanctioned two projects.

In addition, the Oslo-listed player is focused on developments in Brazil, while new opportunities are set to emerge in Namibia next year, supplementing a “very, very, very large” expansion of the Sakarya in Turkey, a project in which Subsea7 is already involved.
