I bought this for video meetings which are much more common now. It makes a huge difference in how you appear in camera. Honestly, the quality for what it costs is astounding. I'm rarely this satisfied with a product.

There are 2 adjustable knobs on the back used to balance between warm and white light. This makes it effective in nearly any lighting situation. The knobs are responsive and move smoothly, great for fine tuning the right blend. Just be warned, this thing is BRIGHT! Like avoid directly looking into at full blast bright. I tend to only use it on its lowest settings which gets the job done just fine. Sometimes I like to put it on full blast to reenact the final scene in 2001: A Space Odyssey. Not exaggerating, was not expecting any of this from such a small panel. It feels like professional equipment. It comes with an adjustable ball and socket mount for a hot shoe so it can be attached to any camcorder. Neither the frame or the knobs feel cheap or flimsy at all, in fact it seems quite durable but I still won't be taking any chances. It's just surprising given how physically light it is and does not make my camera feel more burdensome to hold with one hand.

I don't know if this is every box, but there is a chance the box will come with a free gift voucher. There are four options but the correct choice is the Octopus Tripod. Thank you, thank you, thank you RALENO! This is without a doubt the best tabletop tripod I have ever owned. Every other flexible tripod I've seen has segmented legs which get more loose over time till it can't support the camera weight. But these legs are one solid unit that is stiff yet easily malleable and has no problem standing on its own. It's incredible really, I don't know what it's made out of, basilisk skin or what but its awesome, let alone getting it for free.

Way way better than expected purchase. I will definitely remember this brand the next time I'm shopping for camera accessories.

Good Light, Lousy Mount

It seems like this light has been on sale for long enough that it has been updated, as older reviews wish for USB-C, which mine definitely has. In fact, it has both USB-C and micro-USB ports (both can charge the light). Light output is plenty bright for self-illumination, but perhaps not enough if you are trying to fill an entire room. It seems really bright to me, and I only need about 35% when aimed at my face--too much more and it can get blinding. So perhaps the brightness has also been improved over older reviews.

The knobs feel really premium, and the screen with live levels of brightness and color temperature is an unexpected plus. The power switch is a nice addition as well, although a cover or recessed push-button would be better if packing this in a travel bag. I cannot speak to battery life, but I hope that is improved too--or at least I hope it can be run off USB if low.

My main gripe, and reason for removing a single star is that the provided mount is not good. The cold shoe is not to spec, and won't fit into my tripod bracket at all. Worse yet, it is female threads, so I cannot screw it into anything but the provided mini-tripod. I'm going to have to buy a Universal Magic Arm to thread this into the hardware I have now. Fortunately, those aren't too expensive. If you get this, I suggest you order it with an additional mount that will work with your setup.
