Blakjak (Japanese: コクジャク / Cocjack) is a dual-type Psychic/Flying Pokémon, and is one of the original Fakemon created for Pokémon Altair, Sirius and Vega.

It evolves from Mintch starting at level 18.

In Pokémon Procyon and Deneb, it has a Ghost/Flying-type regional variant.

Overview[]

Blakjak is a useful Pokemon early on in the game, evolving at a low level and learning powerful moves for the early stages of the adventure. While its 100 Speed is something that is consistently usable, the underperformance of other stats to support that eventually brings it down once more enemies evolve - 75/90 attacking stats and 55/65/70 defenses show their weaknesses later on.

Once the postgame diversifies the Pokemon selection, Chatot's evolution, Conductot, upstages it almost entirely, assuming that the higher standard for stats hadn't done so, having considerably higher Special Attack and noticeably better Speed.

In Procyon & Deneb, Blakjak gains an improvement to its movepool and stats, appearing in a regional form that is Ghost/Flying-type and has the ability Magic Bounce, making it much more viable in the long run.
