Kapwondo (Japanese: テペトラー / Tepetorā) is a dual-type Water/Fighting Pokémon, and is one of the original Fakemon created for Pokémon Altair, Sirius and Vega.
It has webbed hands and feet with yellow claws, a yellow beak, and a red ring around each of its eyes. Its shell is made up of a red carapace and a yellow plastron marked with a red cross. It also has a yellow and white "sara" (plate) that resembles a traditional kasa hat.
Despite the cool design, Kapwondo is unfortunately outclassed, thanks to its average stats. There are so many Pokémon that share either one of the kappa's typing that can perform a much fulfilling role as a Physical, Special, or Mixed Attacker than it.
Too many examples: Selody, R'duckulus, Diaduna, Starmie, Lapras, Lucario, Mienshao, Skelachone, Octillery, Drizzlob, Blastoise, Correncid, Combound, Hantama, Billserk, Mercenade, and many more...
While its stats leave some things to be desired, it may still find a place in your party with its access to all HMs except for Fly or Strength. Even then, the latter of those is available to it in Vega Minus. With the width of movesets available to almost all Pokemon in Vega, it is very possible to have a team with very strong diversity while still leaving a slot in the party. It's an unflattering position, but perhaps the best Kapwondo can hope for.
Kapwondo is based on the kappa, a yōkai in Japanese folklore. Its being a Fighting type may be inspired by the kappa's prowess in sumo wrestling.
Name Origin[]
Tepetora may be a combination of Tepeto, a kappa-like kaiju monster from the Ultraman franchise, and kawatora (川虎, literally "river tiger"), a synonym for "kappa".

Can someone update the breeding moves tables to include the parent pokemon that pass on the moves? I'm trying to find something that learns Belly Drum by level up, so I can breed it onto my Cuppa, but am having no luck. :(
Nope. Too much work for something mostly irrelevant. What does have a non ignorable chance is pergaps creating a page for Belly Drum in the next few years, listing pokemon that learn them.
In this specific case, the Takuni line is the only one that learns Belly Drum by level up, and can only pass it on to Velvelt. Cuppa unfortunately can't get Belly Drum, not even through crossbreeding, despite having it programmed as an egg move.
Small correction: Doodloo can Sketch the move and pass it on to Magmar, but it still won't help.
Does anyone know what Tepetora means? I know the "-tora" (tiger) part definitely comes from "kawatora" (river tiger), which is a synonym for "kappa".
Nvm, found it! It's a reference to Tepeto from Ultraseven.
