Gamboge City (Japanese: シオウシティ / Shiou City) is a city located in the east of Tohoak. It is home to Brooke, the city's Gym Leader. The city is accessible in two ways: from the east via Route 519, and from the south via Route 520.
The Gamboge Gym is the official Gym of Gamboge City. It is based on Water-type Pokémon. The Gym Leader is Brooke. Trainers who defeat her will receive the Phact Badge. The Gamboge Gym is designed like an indoor swimming pool, with platforms above the water for the player to walk on. Also, there are Shellders who block the way to the Gym Leader. To get to the Gym Leader, you need to defeat all trainers. Each trainer you will defeat, a Shellder will free the path.
The house of the Move Reminder is located behind the Pokémon Center and the Gym. To access, you need HM01 (Cut). He will teach a Pokémon any move that it could have previously learned through level-up for the price of a two Tiny Mushrooms or one Big Mushroom.

Rydel, owner of a board shop, is the brother of the bike shop seller in Hoenn, who owns the Mauville City Bicycle Shop. If you meet his conditions, you will get a board.
Berry Powder man[]
Berry Powder man is located on the left of the Gym. He concocts a variety of medicines from Berry Powder and will exchange Berry Powder for herbal medicine and vitamins. When he is first visited, he gives the player the Powder Jar, and will ask the player to make some Berry Powder from the new machine that crushes Berries in the Pokémon Center upstairs. There is also a sign on his wall that keeps a record of pressing-speed ranking the player achieves.
The fisherman that grants the player an Old Rod can be found in a house that is the second one on the left from the PokéMart. These buildings are to the south of the city.
