Qualgro Partners’ portfolio company, Supermom Business, has secured S$18 million in Series B funding. The round was led by Granite Asia, with participation from Hearst Ventures and returning investors Qualgro Partners and AC Ventures. The Series B round follows an S$5 million Series A round led by Qualgro Partners in December 2022.    Supermom’s platform has garnered a community of parents, and provides brands with valuable insights to reach this influential demographic. Currently, Supermom has about 10 million parents across 6,000 networking groups, and has identified key opinion leaders – or key opinion moms (KOMs).    “When we add up all these numbers together, we have over 1.5 billion of social connections that overlap, but imagine the velocity if we activate the KOMs – that is 1.5 billion times the brand or content is being mentioned,” co-founder and CEO of Supermom, Luke Lim, shared.    The Series B funding will accelerate Supermom’s mission to expand regionally, enhance data capabilities, and bring even more value to parents and brands alike.  Commenting on this key milestone, Joan Ong, Co-founder and CSO of Supermom said, "When I started Supermom, my vision was simple: to build a community where parents could find support, resources, and connection. MAS Expands Industry Collaboration to Scale Asset Tokenisation for Financial Services This expansion involves partnering with global industry associations and financial institutions to establish common standards for (1) asset tokenisation in fixed income, (2) foreign exchange (FX), and (3) asset and wealth management. The initiative integrates blockchain technology into financial services, aiming to improve efficiency, risk management, and interoperability across global markets. Key Points: 1. Collaboration and Industry Standards: • MAS collaborates with 24 financial institutions under Project Guardian to pilot asset tokenisation. • Joining Project Guardian are these global industry associations : Global Financial Markets Association (GFMA), International Capital Market Association (ICMA), and International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA). • The Project will focus on these three workstreams to foster development and standards of asset tokenization: o Fixed Income (ICMA and GFMA) o FX (ISDA and GFMA) o Asset & Wealth Management (global custodians and asset managers). 2. Shared Ledger Infrastructure: • MAS collaborates on the Global Layer One (GL1) initiative with institutions like BNY, Citi, J.P. Morgan, MUFG Bank, and Societe Generale-FORGE. • GL1 aims to develop a shared ledger infrastructure for tokenised financial assets, meeting regulatory requirements. • A whitepaper on GL1 design principles is published; the next phase involves creating a non-profit (GL1 Org) to develop policies and standards. 🚀 Osmosis' Ecosystem: Powering the Future of Decentralized Finance At REDeFiNE TOMORROW 2024, a DeFi and Web3 conference hosted by SCB 10X, Sunny Aggarwal (Co-founder and CEO of Osmosis Labs) and Ran Yi (Co-founder and CEO of Orderly Network) discussed the developments and future steps of Osmosis. Here are the key takeaways: . 🎯 Osmosis is a DEX (Decentralized Exchange) platform built using Cosmos SDK (a blockchain application development solution) and customized to meet the needs of dApps built on the blockchain. It enables users to trade tokens across more than 100 blockchains within a single app. Yi shared his positive experience with the platform, highlighting its smooth user experience. . 🎯 Aggarwal expressed particular excitement about Osmosis' work on account abstraction. They have built a native account abstraction system into the blockchain and enabled new features like using Face ID for transaction signing as well as one-click trading. This eliminates the need to re-sign every transaction and will be available in the coming months, with more features to follow. . 🎯 Aggarwal also emphasized the importance of Bitcoin L2, for which Osmosis is developing products to position the platform as a leading DEX in the Bitcoin ecosystem (inspired by the recent Bitcoin ordinals trend). Additionally, Osmosis has launched Concentrated liquidity pools and CLOB (Central limit order book) as well. . 🎯 Within the Cosmos ecosystem, there is increased collaboration and more products working on cross-chain DeFi. Osmosis serves as an Oracle source and provides cross-chain swaps for protocols like UMI and Nullus. . 🎯 The Cosmos ecosystem has also activated IBC (Inter-Blockchain Communication), allowing users to freely transfer assets between blockchains. EVM development is also currently underway. . 🎯 Osmosis is collaborating with several partners, including Axelar, Wormhole, Hyperlane, Router Protocol and Nomic, to connect to networks beyond the Cosmos ecosystem. They are also planning to provide liquidity bridging between different Bitcoin L2s, enabling users to swap BTC between networks without going through Bitcoin's slow and expensive main network. . 🎯 Osmosis also places great importance on improving UX, including supporting deposits and withdrawals from multiple networks, Fiat on-ramp implementation and making limit orders more user-friendly. . 🎯 "Privacy" is a core principle for Osmosis, which Aggarwal believes is the purpose of crypto. His platform is developing privacy solutions for order books, such as SGX, and MPC-based solutions to prevent issues like stop-loss hunting.
