You are invited to participate in a research study conducted by PANG Chak Fung Adrian (under the supervision of Dr. Dorothy Chan Yuen Tak Fai) in the Department of Geography at the University of Hong Kong. The purpose of the study is to evaluate the possible changes to bus routes utilizing CKR and T2R to improve efficiency and time reliability of franchised bus network. Your participation in the survey will allow us to gain invaluable insight into travel patterns and needs and opinions of the travelling public.
You will be asked to complete some questions about your daily travel patterns, opinion towards public transport services and several proposed bus route changes. The survey will take roughly 10 to 15 minutes to complete. While there are no direct benefits to you, the results of the analysis may be used to recommend bus route reforms, with the aim to benefit the Hong Kong public using public transport for their commute.
All information collected will remain strictly confidential. Individual participants will not be identifiable by name in the survey. Your participation is voluntary. This means that you can choose to stop at any time without negative consequences.
If you have any questions about the research, please feel free to contact Dr. Dorothy Chan (dorothy.chan@hkuspace.hku.hk). If you have questions about your rights as a research participant, contact the Human Research Ethics Committee, HKU (2241 5267).
I understand the procedures described above and agree to participate in this study.
