“Justine is undoubtedly a hard worker and a dedicated researcher. During our time at UC Irvine, she always stepped up and consistently delivered valuable insights on addressing the use of technology for mental health within the Asian community. As Justine’s classmate, she has frequently provided me with clear feedback and fruitful discussions about how to better improve our research processes. Not only does she excel in her work, Justine is a pleasure to work with. She brings so much positivity and fosters a very welcoming work environment. It is clear that Justine is a skilled communicator, a creative and critical thinker, and a master of research. Her passion for mental health awareness and tireless worth ethic shows that she will be a valuable member to any team.”

About
I am a PhD student working with Dr. Stephen Schueller at the University of California, Irvine. My research focuses on human-computer interactions (HCI) and digital mental health, specifically aimed at supporting the mental health needs of youth and emerging adults in diverse communities. I work with Asian Mental Health Collective and design and evaluate digital tools for these communities. In addition to my research, I am an advocate for tech equity and mental health literacy, which has included participating in the Mental Health Youth Action Forum at The White House. I am also a recent awardee of the Young Innovator in Behavioral Health award from Hopelab.
