Johor Sultan: District officers rank higher than reps or MPs


JOHOR BARU: Johor Ruler Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar has decreed that the position of a district officer is much higher than that of an assemblyman or a Member of Parliament.

His Majesty said that for a long time, district officers were considered representatives of the Ruler as they were the main leaders of the government administration at the district level.
