  • Implementation of DevOps & Agile Operating Model at Spark NZ

    Transition lead on the design and implementation of a strategic IT operational model change from a traditional model (Design, Deliver, Operate) to a DevOps model. Implemented across the entire technology organisation of 1'600 employees this initiative delivered improved efficiency in project & service delivery, significant reduction in operational spend and improved customer outcomes. This initiative also provided for the implementation of Agile methodology within Spark.

  • Network Operations and Engineering Insourcing (Spark NZ)

    Led the successful insourcing of network engineering & operations from Alcatel Lucent to Spark NZ, transitioning these services and 130+ employees without service disruption on August 1st 2014.
    This involved overseeing all program streams including HR, Commercial, Legal, Technical, Facilities, and Communication. This initiative netted circa $14M opex reduction and improved capital efficiency for delivery initiatives.

  • IT Operations Outsourcing (Orange Switzerland)

    Scoped, negotiated and led the successful outsourcing of IT Operations to EDS Switzerland. This was a strategic initiative for both Orange Communications and France Telecom Group.

    Outcomes Delivered:
    25% reduction in annual operating costs,
    50% reduction in the IT estate and consolidation from 4 Data Centres to 2.
    95% of all in scope employees transitioned to service provider
    No service disruption
