Let’s be real, tipping has gotten out of hand. Customers are responsible for paying servers when that should be on the employer. And why am I tipping the same percentage for takeout or coffee as if I were dining in? The whole system has spiraled into something absurd.
I interviewed at Dropbox recently. The recruiter told me the pay is $600k if I get the job. That's more than double my current pay. Why don't they just reduce everyones salaries by 20% instead of laying 20%?
