...are you saying you approve of pedophilia, incest, etc? Or do you assume everyone only writes characters they think are morally right? I assume the person who wrote this put in that disclaimer because so many people these days are in fact okay with those themes. So they want to make sure people know they don't actually get off to child rape, they're just writing a story about a child rapist.

Oh well there could be any number of answers to that question. One could be a lack of shame, another could be the racoon that controls their writing abilities is holding their mind hostage until they write this story. Who knows what goes on in people's heads. Maybe they want to highlight how fucked up pedophilia is by writing a charachter who struggles with it. Or they could genuinely be an advocate for pedophilia and or incest as some people do genuinely hold that position. I've personally washed my hands of humans and their infinite depravity. A sick part of my mind just finds it entertaining at this point. Like a morbid curiosity.

James in your story was right to write off humanity as a lost cause. I imagine his stance on that will change over time but ill just have to keep reading to find out.

On top of that you can clearly read the description and no it's not for you. Making it weird that you would even engage for the story you haven't even read. That's why it's so hard to take the The rating system seriously here.

I think one thing that could be done to properly let it be known about warnings on content talked on is that a pop-up will show that explains said content. The tagging system is not enough to stop and admonish individuals from accessing this kind of content, and I'm betting even kids can find this because they're curious, even though kids are not supposed to be on here due to RTA rating.

How much that rating matters, I don't know. But the Mods, admins and the dev should probably think on this. It would help to separate this content, especially to improve website reputation. May not happen, but who knows.

I'd definitely make a flag system for it, but that's just me.

This might be an unpopular opinion but they're not automatically evil. Like any disease or sickness the first sign of fixing it was being honest to yourself what you are. I guess it's possible to go back to the old times where that behavior was acceptable but I seriously doubt it's realistically going to happen. There is no large-scale movement that I know of that even advocates this behavior. And because I don't know your standard of hedonism it's hard for me to say what you mean by that.

It would make things more efficient to find things but it wouldn't really improve child safety. And I don't find too many stories that are not clearly tagged for what they are. At best it would bring attention to things they don't want other people to see than actually help anyone. Plus most things are clearly marked in descriptions before you read or even reading what the story about is beforehand. That's the point I made with people downloading they didn't even read the contents but they still download it because they saw a tag they did not like. Comments are more clearer to find out what people think about the story because they would voice. In the way most of the time that is at least coherent or not malicious. But being honest this is coming from a person that's a first amendment absolute this.

It is true that there are some pedophiles who understand what they are is wrong and they go out of their way to avoid children. Those are genuinely good people in my book. Then there's the shameless promoters of pedophilia who keep trying to claim they're a part of the queer community. They call themselves "Minor Attracted People" aka MAPs. Some of them even claim to be "Children in an adult body". While it is fringe at the moment, I'd predict after incest and bestiality is legalized in the next 50 years, they'll be the next ones on the docket. I only hope I'm wrong and Humanity doesn't sink as low as I see them as. But I won't hold my breath. Humans have almost always made the wrong choices in history.

The Idea is more played by what could be done, mainly for people that find this stuff abhorrent whatever the case may be. In reality, this becomes an ultimatum that won't be touched for reasons known to the creators, if it was ever talked about or not, Child safety no longer matters when the website owners decided to make the website restricted to adults, so I wouldn't be fighting on that.

What it comes down to is just the modesty and moral ground of the subject. CP is looked down upon, because it involves children that don't understand what they're getting into with adults that do know and can groom them to their liking without their consent. But, this is mainly pinnacle to the west for it's Christian values. Everywhere else around the world may see it the same way, or see it differently in their own values.

Except for all the times they did not. I guess overall I'm more an optimist. Plus incest in some states is not illegal already so.... And I'm pretty sure we're not about to legalize bestiality anytime soon. That for the gay people are calling themselves now is a minor group and from my understanding maps is even a minor to a minor group. The movement to bring up the age consent to 18 at the time was highly discredited when it first happened so maybe we'll get an out of nowhere moment in the next 50 to 60 years.

I see maybe I just can't get the difference I find none of these people characters or situations to be realistic so the moral implications fall depth on me. As long as everything's properly been labeled either on the tags or on the description I find it acceptable.

My main worry is that these types of stories and related content, while fake and non-harming physically, can mentally change an adult to yern for more of this like a drug, and the desire will get stronger to where they want the really nasty stuff, just like with regular porn. All of it can lead to a degraded mindset that gets overstimulated with dopamine hits, and the more you see it, the more it becomes normalized and accepted.

I'll say this; I make smut content myself, but there's only so much I'm willing to go with before it becomes even more unhealthy than what I already do. To each their own on that, but still.

This will probably go nowhere, so that's all I'll say on the subject.

I'm well aware many places already legalize incest. One of them being new jersey, because everything is legal in New Jersey apparently. But I'm looking on broader time scales, and I also know of several key moments in history where humanity had choices to make, and they always chose wrong, forcing people into the worse of multiple available options. Sure quality of life has improved overall, but things could have been so much better so sooner had humans chosen the right path. And even if life is more comfortable, humans have turned to sexual gratification, poisoning themselves, and destroying the planet to deal with their existential dread. You look back 150-500 years and see progress. I look back 12,000 years and see every time humans could have risen above their base nature and every time they refused. Humanity is decaying. I intend to find a way to avoid that fate or die trying.

Looks like starlight is going to have to face her “urges” head on, but even if she can’t it’s against Cozy Glow. Hindsight is a helluva thing.
