XELIS: Monthly Development, Marketing and Community Update
Welcome to this month’s Xelis development update! October has been an incredibly productive month, filled with significant advancements across our BlockDAG ecosystem as we continue to push the boundaries in decentralized finance, privacy, and blockchain technology. Here’s a look at our accomplishments:
1. WooCommerce Payment Plugin Nearing Completion
Our highly anticipated WooCommerce payment plugin is on track to be finalized soon. This plugin will empower businesses to seamlessly integrate Xelis payments on WooCommerce sites, streamlining transactions with a hot wallet solution that securely transfers confirmed payments to a primary wallet address. This one-click, ready-to-use integration makes it easy for e-commerce businesses to begin accepting Xelis. In addition, the plugin includes safeguards to prevent errors, automatically refunding any incorrect transactions. We’re thrilled to see this tool open up e-commerce for Xelis and look forward to its use in the upcoming Xelis Merch store, providing both businesses and our community with a smooth, trustworthy payment solution.
2. Balance and Ownership Proofs for Encrypted Balances
Our team has successfully developed sophisticated balance and ownership proofs specifically for encrypted balances. This major upgrade enhances privacy and transparency by allowing users to verify their private balances and ownership without disclosing details to the public network. These cryptographic proofs enable users to maintain control over their assets, ensuring that their transactions remain private, while providing security that prevents unauthorized access. This addition further solidifies Xelis as a pioneer in privacy-centric financial solutions and showcases our commitment to developing a secure, user-controlled ecosystem.

3. Whitepaper Launch
We’re thrilled to unveil our official whitepaper, a foundational document that offers a comprehensive look into the Xelis platform’s core architecture, technology, and vision for the future. This whitepaper provides in-depth insights into our BlockDAG structure, privacy features, smart contract capabilities, and future roadmap, giving the community and potential partners a transparent understanding of our innovations. The launch of this document marks a major milestone for Xelis, establishing a clear framework that guides our mission and provides the technical transparency that our users and investors value. We’re excited to share this blueprint and look forward to the community’s feedback as we continue building.
4. Expanded Social Media Presence
To enhance our outreach and connect with a broader audience, we’ve expanded Xelis’s presence to include Instagram and TikTok. With these additions, we can share our latest updates, milestones, and community highlights through engaging visuals and stories that resonate with new and existing supporters. We’re also exploring creative ways to leverage these platforms, such as short-form content, tutorials, and live updates, which allow us to educate the public on Xelis’s features and foster a more interactive, dynamic community. Expanding our social media presence is a key part of our strategy to ensure that everyone, from tech enthusiasts to crypto newcomers, feels involved in our journey.
5. Genesix Wallet Update v0.0.6 Released
Our latest Genesix Wallet update (v0.0.6) is live! This release introduces a more user-friendly interface, making the navigation experience intuitive and seamless. Key new features include USD balance display, a burn confirmation prompt for added security, and the ability to export transactions to CSV files, allowing users to easily track their finances. We’ve also incorporated tools for developers to simplify debugging and ensure a stable experience. With v0.0.6, Genesix Wallet is more accessible and feature-rich than ever, empowering users to interact with their assets efficiently and confidently.
7. Release of Paper Wallets
To provide additional security options, we’ve launched Xelis paper wallets, enabling users to store their XELIS tokens offline. Paper wallets offer an accessible, straightforward solution for those looking for a physical backup to secure their digital assets. This addition caters to users who prioritize cold storage, adding flexibility to how they manage their assets. Whether for long-term holdings or as a backup option, paper wallets represent our commitment to user choice and asset security within the Xelis ecosystem. 8. AMD GPU Mining Boost with OneZeroMiner
Xelis miners using AMD GPUs received a performance boost with the latest release of OneZeroMiner. This update enhances mining efficiency and makes AMD GPUs a viable and competitive option within our ecosystem. By continuously optimizing our mining infrastructure, we’re committed to supporting a decentralized network that rewards a diverse set of participants. The boost in AMD GPU performance opens new opportunities for users, allowing more miners to engage in the network and strengthening the overall stability of the platform.
9. New Mining Pool Support
We’re excited to introduce a new mining pool, available at xelis.cedric-crispin.com/start-mining/. This addition provides miners with more choices and flexibility, allowing them to select a pool that best fits their needs. We extend special thanks to @blackmennewstyle on Discord for their dedication and support in making this mining pool available to the Xelis community. By offering additional pool options, we’re reinforcing the decentralization and resilience of the network, creating a stronger ecosystem for all users.
10. Marketing and Partnerships
With the WooCommerce payment plugin nearing completion, we’re one step closer to launching the official Xelis Merch store. This store will soon offer Xelis-branded merchandise, allowing our community to support and engage with the platform in a new, tangible way. We’re excited to see this vision become a reality, creating a deeper connection with our supporters through exclusive items that reflect the Xelis brand.
In addition, we’re actively in talks with potential partners to forge collaborations that will broaden our reach and impact. These partnerships represent a strategic effort to expand Xelis’s ecosystem, bringing new utility and growth to the platform. Our ongoing discussions signal promising opportunities that could drive adoption, enhance our decentralized finance offerings, and create valuable synergies within the blockchain industry.
11. Community Developers
We are excited to annouce that we have recently welcomed a few members to our community developer team. @Fourmyle recently has joined us and will be contributing to our Ledger hardware wallet implementation. In addition, we have been getting solid contributions from both @Dalkson and @camelsmokes on our smart contract development. In addition, long time community developer @xfedex continues to support the core team.
