After working in product planning for mobile phones (feature phones) at a manufacturer, I started working at Docomo in the early days of smartphones. I was able to experience a period of change from the position of Japan's largest carrier, and every day was exciting. And every day at NTT QONOQ is also very exciting. The appeal is that I can be involved in a wide range of things, from products (devices) to services, as Japan's largest mobile carrier. Moreover, we are blessed with an environment and customer base that allows us to lead each field, and I don't think there are many companies in any field where you can gain such advanced and passionate experience.
I am currently working on an app for AR glasses. This was at a community event. I gave the general public a chance to try out the AR glasses app for tourism. It was not only the young and tech-savvy who showed interest. Many people, from small children to the elderly, said, "I want to try it again! We were able to feel the great potential and satisfaction of the event.
The XR business is a category in which there are still no overwhelming winners, and it is an area with high traffic that requires faster communication speeds and the evolution of the devices themselves. I am very excited about the possibility of creating, with my own hands, a major trend following on the heels of smartphones, in which people wearing AR glasses will become a normal way of life.
