The BMW M3 GTR (E46) is a GT racing car created by BMW based on the M3 E46 which is featured in Need for Speed: Most Wanted, Need for Speed: Most Wanted 5-1-0, Need for Speed: Carbon, Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2012), Need for Speed: Edge and Need for Speed: Heat. It also appears in the files for the alpha and beta versions of Need for Speed: World. The BMW M3 GTR appears in Need for Speed: Most Wanted and is available from the start of the game.

The car plays an important role in the career story as it is the player’s car at the start of the game until it is sabotaged. The car is returned to the player after defeating Razor, the number 1 on the blacklist, which also unlocks the Quick Race game mode.

The M3 GTR can also be driven in the Challenge Series’ secret event called “Burger King Challenge”.

The M3 GTR has excellent capabilities when it comes to its handling and can reach a top speed of 389 km/h. However, she gets a mediocre speed boost when nitro is used.
