I have a little question, what happens if Rollo, Fellow and Skully Overblotted?
I don’t think anything would change other than the obvious (us getting new OB designs for the Halloweenies and maybe extended post-OB flashback sequences). If you’re looking for those, plenty of fan artists have made and shared their interpretations, including their own takes on what the Phantoms would be. Honestly, I’m glad they don’t overblot because this way there’s more variety in how characters and their backstories are presented to us. There’s also in-universe lore reasoning (whether explicit or implied) as to why Rollo, Fellow, and Skully don’t OB, most notably Crowley stating that OB is "rare". (There is also something to be said that all the OBs we have observed so far are of NRC students, which then leads to theories that someone at NRC is purposefully inducing them; the usual culprits theorists point to are Yuu, Grim, or Crowley himself.)
Additionally, I personally like to headcanon that Rollo has a lot of metal fortitude (+ he genuinely believes that ridding the world of magic would be beneficial), so he is able to slow his blot due to his self-discipline. As for Fellow, he lacks the magic pool to be considered a threat. This is mentioned in book 6; people with naturally low mana levels are less likely to OB, and therefore most of the Styx staff fit into this description to limit the danger they pose when they are in an environment that constantly exposes them to blot. As for Skully, he’s the only one that actually comes close to OB because 1) he has the magical pool for it (seeing as he has enough magic to get into NRC, unlike Fellow) and 2) the immaturity and emotionality to not control himself when he is upset, unlike Rollo). The only reason Skully doesn’t OB is because he gets the crud beaten out of him before he can fire off more spells.

We know that Skully traveled the world and became The King of Halloween but surely he has some descendants (the twink probably grew up and got married— somehow.) I’m pretty sure that he wouldn’t have the rights to Halloween or anything but maybe they are like…historians??? Idk
I don't think there'd be an estate per say since Skully didn't "own" Halloween. Halloween was already a concept celebrated in his small town. Skully is only responsible for popularizing Halloween to the rest of Twisted Wonderland and many modern traditions. Not sure if doing this would really be a good way of generating wealth for himself either, I think he was just in it for the good vibes. What's very odd to me is that no one in modern Twisted Wonderland seems to know who Skully is??? He wanted to keep out of the spotlight, but you'd think he would still be well-documented and lauded as an important figure for THE biggest holiday in their world. None of the NRC students recognized this important guy when they were all sucked into the book together?????? So his name and face were completely concealed from history (I guess it was easier for stuff to be lost without phones, cameras, etc.), but his legacy still remains. If he has descendants, I wonder if they know anything about their roots... Oral history is always there. I did see a theory floating around that Crowley covered up Skully's existence and altered history?? In the event, Skully nearly overblots and is only stopped from the brink by Sebek. The theory goes that the book is a record of actual events (except, in real life, our NRC students were other people that got caught up with Skully), with the key difference being the lack of a happy ending... in which Skully OBs and ended up killing people and causing a lot of collateral damage until he was finally subdued. The theory then continues to say that Crowley didn't want to risk his or the school's reputation faltering (since Skully was a student at the time), so he worked tirelessly to conceal the incident and Skully himself from history. (But then this doesn’t really make sense because Crowley himself says he is proud of Skully.) I guess if Skully didn’t want to be in the spotlight, there wouldn’t be an estate…? Cuz that’s a physical reminder of him.
The card made me think of that scene in The Tale of the Cursed Raven where Jade sleeps while holding Raven in her bird form... So... Behold...

playful land really gives me the chills theres something really eerie and creepy seeing the guys make their way through the park and having them sacrifice one another to get them to ernesto, yikes. when i first watched the translations i though like oh shit this feels very apocalyptic and i had actual chill down my spine watching the playthrough. the whole flesh turning to wood thing too, double yikes its really dark here. i think having played through glomas, this one freaked me out more like eeeyikes
I definitely feel like Playful Land ups the scare factor. In GloMasq, the threat really only applied to mages, and it's hard for us, the players, to get a sense for how horrific and life-changing that is since we don't use magic ourselves. In Playful Land, we're literally all going to be sold off as puppets through a crime ring 💀 which is frighteningly darker and unfortunately more or a "real" horror. An amusement park is such a good setting for this. No one really notices how scary they can be at night. I MEAN JUST LOOK AT THESE COMPARISON IMAGES... THAT FOX FACE BECOMES TOTALLY CREEPY... And normally your instincts tell you to stay in the lit up parts of the park, right??? But in this case, you can't because then you're a sitting duck for the puppets on the prowl for you. That forces you to sneak around in the dark, which obscures your field of vision and draws out our fear of the unknown and that which we cannot see. AND you have no signal?? AND the walls are too high to scale, thereby locking you inside?? It works so well together. asdgkjakvufqeoqfoif YEAH, THE FLESH TURNING INTO WOOD IS ALSO UNSETTLING... A creepy inverse of Pinocchio becoming a "real boy".

I think it should be fine? They can probably drop a convenient excuse like Skully’s ghost is haunting the campus. Or maybe the card itself is set as though Skully and co. are still in the book and planning for Halloween with the residents of Halloween Town? They can play with the circumstances to make it make sense 😂 (like how they said Crowley is using magic to make a duplicate of himself to explain why two Crowleys can exist in the same room when he became playable!)

I think my UM should be BRAIN WORMS (still workshopping the name lol). I can peer inside your squimshy brain and see what thoughts you have swimming around in it >:)) Genuinely believe I would have some kind of mind-related spell since I tend to analyze and even overthink things or becoming obsessive about things in the process. This UM would be helpful for getting to know and understand another person’s “inner voice” (a plus for creative writing, lol) + navigating real social situations (+ writing analyses). Cons: can only use on one target at a time; highly dependent on how stable and organized the thoughts of the target are and how well I can decipher relevant information from the competing noise. Requires decent concentration and focus. Let me know if you have any suggestions or if you think BRAIN WORMS is a suitable spell for me or not www

LMAO, IS THIS COPE 😭 cuz I feel like I've been seeing similar ideas floating around in the wake of the event's ending... People saying that the portrait in Ramshackle's lounge might be of Skully, that Skully's grave it outside of Ramshackle, that portraits at NRC can talk so maybe Skully can still be with us, that Skully isn’t actually dead, etc. I don't think Skully's one of the Ramshackle Ghosts... Their mannerisms just don't line up (other than the ghosts being excited for Halloween). Like, they don't speak in the same formal way Skully does, nor have any of them kissed your hand or anything like that.
Of the ghosts, only C comes close to Skully's frame (that's the lanky one). And that's the ghost we actually have a rough age estimate for. In 2-7, Ghost C says, "I was the team captain ninety years ago, y'know." This puts Ghost C's age at ~100 years old, which doesn't match up with what we know about Skully. It's stated that Skully graduated hundredS of years ago, meaning more than 100 years ago--at least 200 years.
So nah, I don't think Skully’s one of the Ramshackle Ghosts!

[Referencing this post! Sure thing ^^ There’s actually a lot I like about Playful Land, (which is also why I was sad that it wasn’t as good as I wanted it to be): The atmosphere! I don’t like amusement parks irl (I’m kind of like that grumpy big sister that will go with you as a chaperone but wouldn’t want to eat anything or get on any rides or attractions), but they’re such interesting settings! Everything all colorful and sparkly, people laughing and chattering, the games and rides… So fun. I think the atmosphere is excellent even when it swaps over to the serious section—suddenly, the park becomes desolate and creepy as you dodge into the shadows, away from harsh light and the puppets on the hunt for you. It’s something straight out of a horror movie and I love those vibes.Fellow and Gidel! Big fan of their designs and dynamic with each other and the cast. Fellow’s so effortlessly charming to me, whether he’s being an obvious smiling con artist, pulling that over-the-top evil smirk, or being a protective older brother/guardian figure to Gidel. He’s just a touch too… pathetic to make it to the top of my character tier list. The music!! It's so upbeat. I can't exactly hum along to it since I can't always follow the tune, but just hearing the beginning notes or the opening whistles make me feel really happy.SFIPYBBIPFY0epb UNIRONICALLY THAT J WORD WAS ONE OF THE FIRST PEOPLE TO BE PUPPET'D. Honestly, he had it coming 🤡 Some of the other ways the guys got captured were hilarious too... Like L*ona sitting down in a place he shouldn't and Fellow literally rushing at the SSR trio to tear up their tickets. The stakes! I enjoyed how morbid things got. What can I say??? I love it when the stakes are high. We usually don't get that in Twst event stories, so I appreciate the change of pace and forcing our blorbos to fight for their lives :))KALIMMMMMMM 😭 I think his best traits really shone in this event!! I love how he's the only one to give Fellow a chance to speak his mind and how he continues to believe in Fellow's goodness. Some might call that naive (and yeah, it definitely is), even when his peers and especially Ace and Ortho tell him he's INSANE for thinking this way. The thing is, Cater later says that apparently there were people who sneaked into the school the night before and that's when they knocked down the statues.So, no one realized what happened to the statues until the moment the ghosts told the others? Or is it that the magicam monsters put the statues back in their place and the next day other magicam monsters arrived to knock the statues over?And I find it very strange because everyone has to walk down the main street, including Yuu and Grim even though their dormitory is supposedly close to the main building. So it's strange that no one in the entire school has noticed.Eeeh, I think it’s probably a detail the writers conveniently overlooked or poorly worded. It’s such a small thing in the grand scheme of things, it’s not worth harping on especially when the event has been over for years now.Given where the Hall of Mirrors is (dotted black line), each student (save Grim and Yuu in Ramshackle marked with the green X), would have to emerge there and then walk along Main Street (black black arrow) to arrive at the Main Building. There’s no other way to get to the Main Building passing Main Street and noticing the moved statues. Even if we changed the facts and assumed that the students stayed overnight at each of their dorm’s assigned locations, this still wouldn’t make sense because some students (like the Pomefiore ones) would still need to pass Main Street.I don’t think the students would overlook such an obvious thing on their way to the main building. Some might not care, but the most intense of rule followers and those who respect tradition would definitely throw a fit. So that implies the statues were still in place by the time everyone went to the main building for their morning assembly. This would seem to suggest that the Magicam Monsters moved the statues after the NRC students had all gathered in the main bullring. The Ramshackle Ghosts would later report that they noticed the statues missing while on their morning patrol.But then this still doesn’t make total sense because Cater says the Magicam Monsters snuck onto campus at night to take their pictures… so the statues should have already been moved by the morning. And given how impolite and self-serving the clout chasers are characterized as, I don’t think it’s in-character for the Magicam Monsters to return the statues to their original place when they’re done with pictures. They’d just leave it for the NRC staff or students to fix.So like I said in the beginning, we’re probably not meant to notice this inconsistency. The important part of this scene is bringing the Ramshackle Ghosts into the picture so they can have a dramatic moment where they blame themselves for the Magicam Monsters ruining Halloween. They seem like the focal point of the image as he carefully handles his hair.
